WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
1980 — A Sister's Party Changed Everything
In 1980 my sister gave her 8th grade graduation house party at my parents house. I was her DJ. The crowd loved it, and something clicked. I realized I had a gift for reading a room and keeping people moving.
July 4th, 1984 — Going Pro
July 4th, 1984 I had another house party and charged three dollars at the door. The response was so great, I've been going ever since. What started as a favor for my sister turned into a calling. Over the decades I've played hundreds of events — private parties, corporate nights, weddings, and everything in between.
Adding Karaoke — Things Blew Up
In the last few years I added karaoke to my events and things blew up. Getting people involved, up on the mic, and having a great time is the best feeling in the world. There's nothing like watching a shy guest grab the mic and bring the house down. That's what FUN DMC is all about.
